Thinking of You …

I decided this week to make a card for a friend as a surprise in the mail so that they knew I was thinking of them. I joined in with the CASEing the Catty challenge again this week which is #CTC170 caseing the Tutti Frutti Suite on pages 28-35 of the 2018 Occasions Catalogue.

There are so many great projects on these pages to choose from, however I settled on the Mother’s Day card on page 30.

In case you haven’t noticed, I quite like the emboss resist technique. You can make so many different looks with this technique. This time I decided to use the Lovely as a Tree stamp set. This stamp set has been around for years, however I have only recently bought it.

I used my sponge daubers with Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist, So Saffron and Calypso Coral to create the background and used post-it notes to mask the edges to create the straight lines where the sponging ends. I stamped the “Thinking of you” sentiment from the Colourful Seasons stamp set in Calypso Coral and finished the card off with the Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon.
