This week I am using the CASEing the Catty Challenge again for the inspiration of my card. #CTC169 is caseing from either of the Sale-A-Bration catalogues.
I decided to case the panda card on the right hand side of page 15 of the first Sale-a-bration catalogue but swapped out some of the elements. This card was for my upline for her birthday (and I know she has received it so I can now post it online), and you can’t give another demonstrator a bought birthday card, can you?
Here is what I came up with …
I started with a Crumb Cake card base and stamped the Burlap background stamp in Crumb Cake onto it. The banners were cut out of the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper and the other banner was run through the Big Shot in the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.
I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits for the circle and oval in Whisper White and stamped the sentiment from Special Celebrations stamp set in Peekaboo Peach. I stamped the flower & leaves from Oh So Eclectic stamp set and cut them out using the matching Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies. A few dimensionals to give the card a bit more interest, add a bow from baker’s twine and the card was done.
I really must get more organised and make cards for people well ahead of time and not leave it to the last-minute. Luckily Australia Post was on the ball this time and got the card there within a few days and in time for her birthday.
Update: I was lucky enough to have my card chosen this week as the Crew Pick at CASEing the Catty.
Until next time, happy stamping
