OK so I’m a bit late with my blog again this week. Sometimes life just seems to get in the way, whether it is sick kids or a crazy week at work. I did submit a card in the CASEing the Catty challenge again this week and am only just getting around to writing my blog for it. This week’s challenge is from the Artistic Expression section of the Annual Catalogue on pages 132 – 181.
There is so much to choose from in this section of the catalogue but I decided on a card which is a bit different from what I’d usually make. I chose the card on page 181.
As it was Father’s Day on Sunday, I decided to make a masculine version for my Father in law. I started off with a Smoky Slate card base and stamped the Burlap Background stamp. The banner was cut from the Colour Theory Designer Series Paper Stack in the Dapper Denim.
The “Just for you” sentiment comes from the Watercolour Words stamp set and “Happy Father’s Day” is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set. I stamped these in Night of Navy and added the little strips of Night of Navy cardstock.
Did you make any Father’s Day cards? I’d love to see what you came up with.
If I can help with any of your paper crafting needs, please contact me.
Until next time, happy stamping
