Well I found a bit of time to give this week’s CASEing the Catty Challenge another go. With this week’s challenge showcasing the Babies & Kids section, pages 102 – 111 of the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue, you would have seen that I previously CASE’d the A Little Wild card on page 108.
This time I decided to CASE the top right card on page 102 for my card.
Again, I’ve taken the layout of the card and put my own twist on it, making it a birthday card. I started with a Berry Burst card base, I’ve added a mat of the Berry Burst ombré design from the Colour Theory Designer Series Paper Stack. A second mat from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack was added on top.
I also wanted to try out the new Happy Birthday Thinlits. I decided to use this as the focal point, rather than the heart on the card I was CASEing. I cut two of these out, one in Berry Burst and one from the Berry Burst ombré from the DSP stack. By stacking one thinlit on top of the other, it adds more dimension.
I finished the card off with a few of the Glitter Enamel Dots instead of the sequins. I decided to leave the ribbon off my card.
Although I’ve changed up the card a bit, can you still see the underlying idea of the card that I CASE’d?
