CASEing the Catty… Birthday

It’s time for another CASEing the Catty card to share with you.

This week the challenge (CTC #132) is based on the Birthday section, on pages 68-85, of the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue. There is so much to choose from! Once you find something you like, it’s up to you as to how much you CASE and what you make your own. You could CASE the entire card, just the layout, the colour combination, the stamp set or any other aspect.

This is the image I chose to CASE. It’s from page 76 of the new catalogue. I chose the card in the top left corner of the photo with lots of balloons on it. I have used the layout as my inspiration and went from there.

I thought I would stay along the lines of the balloons, but chose the hot air balloons from the Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away Thinlits Dies. This is what I came up with…

As you can see, I’ve used a number of different stamp sets for this card. The birthday wishes, celebrate and stars come from the Tabs for Everything stamp set, the clouds in the background are from the hostess set Dare to Dream and the grass/reeds is from the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set.

I stamped the clouds with the Whisper White Craft Ink and finished off the card with a bow in the Linen Thread.

You will also notice that I have used paper from 2 of the new Designer Series Paper Stacks – Colour Theory & Wood Textures.

So what do you think of this CASE? What card would you make if you used this same card to CASE?  Would yours look similar or completely different?  Please share your card with me if you give this CASE a go.  Remember, CASEing the Catty is a great place to get inspiration from.  Why not give it a go today?

Happy stamping

Michelle
