I wanted to let you know earlier that the new catalogues were now available as they started two days ago but I had been away with my family and just returned home with access to the internet.
I thought I would also share some different ideas with you that you may like to use as inspiration when looking through the Occasions Catalogue. You may find another stamp set which would work well with a particular layout that you have seen, or you like the colour combination on a card and think that would work well with a different stamp set. If cards aren’t your thing, you may prefer to design a scrapbooking page or 3D items. Whatever you enjoy making, I hope you can take some inspiration from the items I have made below.
The 3 cards above are all using decorative masks and a few different ink pads so that the colour is over a gradient from one corner, diagonally to the other corner. You can find the hearts and stars decorative masks on page 181 of the Annual Catalogue. At just $5 for the two masks, it’s a bargain to create lots of different backgrounds.
I know that we have just started the new year, but why not get ahead start on making next year’s Christmas cards or 3D items? I always seem to run out of time towards the end of the year, so maybe I should start making mine now! The above step card, Christmas ornament and matching gift box have all been made using the Peaceful Pines stamp set, Perfect Pines framelits and the Delicate Ornaments thinlits. What else can you think of to make with the Christmas stamp sets or framelits? They can be used for other times of the years too, you just need to think outside the square a bit.
For something a bit more special than a standard card, why not look to make a shadow box or 3D step card. Very effective and easily made one you know how. If you would like to learn how to make either of these cards, please contact me and I’d be happy to show you.
A few more card ideas for you …
Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about those of you out there who like scrapbooking. Just like card making, you can choose to use a layout or colour scheme for your own pages. You may like to use the page shown below as inspiration for a future page that you are putting together.
I hope that all of my creations have inspired you to go and make something today. If you would like to get a group of friends or family together for a fun afternoon of crafting, please contact me on 0408 448 426.
